The suspended National Publicity Secretary for the ‘All Progressives Congress (APC)’, ‘Timi Frank’ has warned the party not to underestimate the strength of the much-talked-about Mega Party even if it is a rumor or not.
The suspended secretary made this statement in response to APC's national chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun's comments on the proposed Mega Party.
Timi Frank further called on the party to learn from the mistakes of the past, adding that it was the overconfidence of the PDP that led to their dethronement as ruling party. He also advised the party's national chairman to reconcile with aggrieved members of the party rather than offend them further.
"I think as a party, we should not undermine the strength of this much-talked-about mega party, whether it is a rumor or not. I think we should do everything possible to defeat the move through genuine reconciliation within us. We must remember that this is how the PDP took the APC for granted during the formation stage, and the likes of Bamanga Tukur were busy saying ‘no vacancy in Villa’, ‘PDP will rule for 60 years’; but where are they today?"
"So, our national chairman should learn to reconcile aggrieved members instead of offending them the more. It has shown today that even ruling party could lose an election; so, we should stop talking arrogantly because we are in power".
APC national chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun who spoke on the rumors of a mega party revealed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was in no way threatened by the talks of a mega party, adding that no party would survive the APC. [Read here if you missed it]
