The popularity of the Kardashians know no bounds as the family flourishes in practically everything they venture into and such is the case of the 21-year old supermodel, Kendall Jenner who is set to be named the 'Fashion Icon of the Decade' at such a young age.
Kendall will be honoured at the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) next month as part of Daily Front Row's 2017 Fashion Media Awards.
The 5ft10 catwalk star has over the years, walked in a number of runway shows, graced the covers of countless magazines as well as appeared in a number of commercials epitomizing her as one of the greatest fashionistas at such a young age.
Following the announcement that Kendall Jenner will receive the Fashion Icon of the Decade award next month, Twitter users have slammed the model, labelling her as "unfit" to win such an award giving the fact that she was only 11 years old a decade ago.
A Twitter user wrote;
"Decade???? She was 11 a decade ago??? have you SEEN what the Kardashians were wearing 10 years ago???".
Another angry user wrote;
"Girl poses with the same old boring face, didn't even do 10 diverse photoshoots & y'all giving her 'Fashion Icon of The decade' .... Tragic".
Some users suggested others who were better suited to be honoured with the award.
A user who suggested Rihanna wrote;
"I'm tired of y'all giving Kendall Jenner credits that she doesn't deserve. Kendall is not the fashion icon of this Decade. Rihanna is".
Other users depicted that it was too early for the supermodel to be given the award, adding that there was still time for her to be honoured with such an award.
The Daily Front Row's fifth annual Fashion Media Awards which will be hosted by top model, Ashley Graham will take place on Friday, 8th September 2017 during the upcoming New York Fashion Week with other awardees such as Jordan Barett who will be awarded the 'Male Model of the Year', Mario Testino for 'Creative of the Year' and more to be honored as well.
Congratulations are no doubt in order for Kendall Jenner!
