English Premier League: Chelsea and Arsenal win as Liverpool edge Manchester City to keep up pressure

The week nineteen (19) of the ‘English Premier League’ saw Arsenal and Chelsea pick up victories as Liverpool edged Manchester City to keep up the pressure on league leaders, Chelsea.

The week began with Hull City as they hosted Everton at the ‘Kcom Stadium’ with both sides sharing the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Ross Barkley with the equalizer for Everton in the 84th-minute.

Burnley hosted relegation-bound Sunderland at the Turf Moor with Burnley maintaining their impressive home form as they ran out 4-1 winners over the Black Cats.

League Leaders, Chelsea were looking to maintain their position at the top of the league table when they welcomed Stoke City to the Stamford Bridge and the Blues duly delivered after running out 4-2 winners over the Potters.

Defending champions, Leicester City locked horns with West Ham United at the King Power Stadium with the Foxes running out 1-0 winners after a closely contested encounter.

Manchester United were looking for their fifth straight win when they hosted Middlesbrough at the Old Trafford and duly delivered after turning around a one-goal deficit to run out 2-1 winners.

Southampton locked horns with West Bromwich Albion at the St. Mary's Stadium with West Brom picking up a surprising 2-1 victory over a strong Southampton side.

Relegation-bound Swansea City were up against Bournemouth and continued their poor run of form as Eddie Howe's side ran out 3-0 winners over Swansea.

Liverpool and Manchester City locked horns in a heavyweight contest that saw Liverpool run out 1-0 winners to keep up the pressure on league leaders, Chelsea.

Watford hosted Tottenham Hotspurs in a game that saw Spurs run out comfortable 4-1 winners. Harry Kane and Dele Alli with the goals for Spurs.

Arsenal were looking to keep up the chase on second-placed Liverpool when they hosted Crystal Palace and duly delivered with a 2-0 victory over Sam Allardyce's boys. Olivier Giroud with a wonder of a goal to lift his team to third place.
